img_2065.jpg - 2004:08:01 12:25:26Everyone runs back to join them (except Bryan, who is on crutches.)

img_2068.jpg - 2004:08:01 13:28:38Next stop... we've driven up to The Steamboat where Paul put his simplex repeater station. This serves as an emergency radio relay for anyone needing assistance during the AeroPAC event.

img_2070.jpg - 2004:08:01 13:31:08This is where Paul installed his repeater. This location has enough elevation to offer line of sight to anywhere on the Black Rock Desert lakebed. Any stations which can see the repeater can communicate, even if they can't reack each other directly.

We're at the turnoff from Smoke Creek Road to Susanville, California. This is the longer but more scenic route back. I stopped and said hello to my parents, who just happen to live in Susanville.
