They're out of the mud!

Everyone runs back to join them (except Bryan, who is on crutches.)

Michaelangelo (left) and Bryan (middle) talk while Sean (right) picks up his
toolbox and shovel which were still located where his truck had been stuck
overnight.

Everyone is bringing supplies back to the trucks now that the rescue
is successful.

Next stop... we've driven up to The Steamboat where Paul put his simplex
repeater station. This serves as an emergency radio relay for anyone
needing assistance during the AeroPAC event.

Paul Hopkins KE6DAX (left) and Bryan Klofas KF6ZEO (right) at The Steamboat,
a hill overlooking the Black Rock Desert.
In the background in the Hualapai Valley and the Granite Range mountains.

This is where Paul installed his repeater.
This location has enough elevation to offer line of sight to anywhere on
the Black Rock Desert lakebed.
Any stations which can see the repeater can communicate, even if they
can't reack each other directly.

Paul stands next to the antenna.

On the way back to California, I stopped to get a picture of this road sign
for use in future directions.
We're at the turnoff from Smoke Creek Road to Susanville, California.
This is the longer but more scenic route back.
I stopped and said hello to my parents, who just happen to live in Susanville.
